Don't know if you have seen something like this, but since you have everything else..this is info on what appears to be a good free chat room set up you can put in your website: If interested Go to--- Byte Center Network or possibly-- CGI Scripts...not sure which one it is...may be same outfit...

hmmmm... I have looked into having a chat room, in fact I used to have one. The problems is, no one ever get's on at the same time. Plus you have to have an extra window open to use it. I bet I could leave the chat room window open for a week, and maybe have one person visit. There was a chat room that I liked (found it a couple years back, don't remember what it was and can't find it again), the reason I like it was because it remembered what everyone had written before, so you could log into it whenever, and see all the previous conversations ( that can be a good or bad thing I guess). It also had links to other chat rooms and would allow people from those rooms to join in your chat room (I think you had the option to choose whether or not to have it that way). Then there was another thing I found called a stickybox. you type in a sentence and it posts that sentence.. But it was mostly meant for one line at a time type of messages. You couldn't chat real time with anyone, I didn't like it. I give Byte Center etc. a look a little later.. Currently SL is devouring my life hehe.. in a good way.. Wish you were there Paris, you'd absolutely love it I think. -------------------- |
