Paris - The story:
Cal Tech (L.A.suburb---Pasadena, Cali.) geeks invent superprogram to make movies from a handful of actor and location photos. SAG union boss and studio boss fearing serious harm to industry...try and steal the program and then to destroy it and anyone with knowledge of it..mayhem ensues..to heroic end..(with lots of L.A. footage..)

Scene one--Fade in past the Rose Bowl to the Cal Tech Campus quad and computer sciences buildings and labs...
lots of segways, multiscreen computers and wizz bang stuff...

OK now you add something, scene thoughts, dialog, comments, anything...

Paris - Future scene--limo drives up to Getty Museum with SAG boss and meets studio boss who flys in in a helicopter on museum lawn...they go inside to private board room where studio boss in on board..



Buck - Ok ... confession ... I haven't an f'n clue what I am talking about - so that's normal. You guys know the tech side etc ... maybe I can help with some dialogue

If I am understanding this at all ... Suggestion ... choose your cast ... who is going to play which character and how many characters ... eg.,

Geeks ... 1 male, 1 female, 1 boffin type???? (Who plays who?) unsure.gif

Studio ... 1 Boss, 2 female secretaries??? (Who plays who? unsure.gif

Union ... 1 Boss, 2 heavies??? (Who plays who). unsure.gif

Cal_Tech Gal ... any secret powers???

Question ... any idea how many chapters ... even approx???
Is it one per place ... how many places? Or are we "LOST"?

Paris - OK redo on opening sceen ---Opening sceen is a private corporate jet landing at Santa Monica Municipal Airport...with limo to follow to Cal Tech..
In plane converstion---Computer company boss is donating mega computer and accessories from fucked up corporate development project to Cal. Tech. Engineering Reasearch Institute for tax write off and also there to give meet and greet speach at institute to new international fellows and teaching assistants on scholarship...( from Austrialia---the twins aka dual core, Scotland aka ???, Sweden---major 6' 4"amazon babe genius and ???
OK now go to campus intro...

Paris - OPPS--I guess the title should be front side bus... Every body plays every part...not just an assigned one....

Paris - That's all right Mustanger...I was thinking you could add aviation lingo and stuff--10-4

Chalkmaze - I think I need some sort of visual to keep everything straight, even stick figures will work. So if we can get the cast of characters organized I can draw some kind of very simple storyboard and post the pic.


Cast Of Characters (Front Side Bus)

Computer Company Boss -

Geeks (main characters, hero's) - 1 male, 1 female, 1 boffin type (what is a boffin?, or should it be boffoon?) or is this reduced to one 6'4" hot swedish gal?

SAG Union Boss- 1 boss, 2 Heavies "yes boss"

Studio Boss - 1 boss, two hot female secretaries

OK Scene 1---Sound of Jet engine, pic of private jet landing at LAX with LAX DOUBLE HORESESHOE Terminal ----cOMPUTER bOSS SAYS TO assistant..blah blah blah well at least giving that equipment, that doesn't work, to Cal Tech will get us a nice tax deduction and my name in the lobby of the computer science building ...Lacky--Yeh boss and gets us to the dedication to check out the new talent in the graduate programs so we can get first pick of the new talent...Limo picks them up drives by Beverly Hills and West Hollywood Icons and eventually the Rose Bowl....on to Pasadena..
scene 2--Cal Tech campus with computers kids doing computer stuff--(OK you guys continue story a bit)Segways, multiscreens, blackberrys etc....need some makebelieve advanced computer stuff...

Good organization mazey---Key element is new computer program can take a few photos of you and manipulate them so actors are hardly ever needed....and If you can manipulate all this stuff on computers then directors and producers are not needed and studio system fails....Key end twist the computer bosses heavies knock off the SAG union bosses heavies...in final heroic scene.BTW the Amazon beauty I mentioned is actually someone I know---it's funny we joke Guys first reaction is "that is the most beautiful girl in the world" when they get up close their reaction is "Gee I wish she was smaller" But she is going to be the geek girl who bongs some guys over the head in this movie...and some guys are going to run into heavies with segways...kind of like the western indians circling the wagons thing.....

OK next twist is a guy who was let go from the computer company for hacking the bosses e-mail accounts....was on the verge of making a discovery that would make all this useless donated equipment work...and where does he end up...you guessed it-- as a new assistant professor at Cal Tech---He will work with his ideas and the discarded equipment to put to gether a working program/ computer thing... OH OK here's another thing all the teaching assistants are communicating back an forth with various IM's and on MYSpace....OK guys your turn this is a wikistory--not a unistory....need avant guard computer stuff....

OK cool scene ---multiple bad guys break into Griffith Park at night and hang someone frm the HOLLYWOOD sign.. and as the sun comes up in the morning the camera pans through Hollywood and up to the sign and there is a guy hanging from it....You guys pick a letter and a bad guy to suffer this fate...

OK another cool scene---there is a very large silver color nude statute on Rodeo Dr. down toward the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and another death scene can be camera pans up to the nude statute and a real dead nude bad guy is tied to the nude statue...I suppose we need to do something on the Santa Monica Pier also as it's in a million movies...

OK it is just flowing now....LOL----another cool scene---you know how stars are cemented into the Hollywood walk of fame...well bad guys bury another bad guy in the Hollywood walk of fame...and cover him with cement...(he wore this medallion on a chain around his neck and the bad guys put the medallion in the cement kind of like a star is put in the cement...

OK so we have used a lot of cool sites----

7. Rose Bowl (drive by scene)

Think of something to happen at the Hollywood Bowl
and maybe a car chase at the intersection of the 405 and Interstate 10
OK here is something cool for a scene --most people don't know there are a lot of operating Oil Wells all over in town Los Angeles...there are actually some in the back yard of Beverly Hills High School--- so maybe work that into a scene....

OK maybe the Geeks are finally pursuaded to go to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl and bump into and meet and Hang out with the assistant professor who was fired by the computer company--He developes a thing for the amazon geek girl....

OK and the assistant professor snuck in a put a key stroke device on his conterparts computer to get half of the solution to the problem as to why the computer equipment did not work....and he wears the device on a chain around his neck...and that is what everyone is after....He now has 100% to the solution of the glitch problem....Will need some scenes fro the computer company's research labs....

The invention the kids come up with is a circular core processor and the Cal tech kids get the idea for it by watching dual core (the austrialian twins) race around ina circle on their segways.....

OK some of the nick names for the students are: girl---BIOS, amazon---FRONTSIDE BUS, (FSB),
twins---dual core, guy---frogger, guy---googie, guy---johnny cache.

OK you guys wanted some kind of story board--well I made kind of a quick crappy one to give you guys some visualization...It is at YOUTUBE under "ezweievier". I will leave it public until you guys have had a chance to check it out....let me know when you have seen it...It is the story board for Chapter 2.....The first chapter will have to be a story board of the employee/ assistant professor at THE BIG COMPUTER COMPANY..... I saw the movie FIREWALL with Harrison Ford and it is ok but a rehash on a combination of other movie themes....This one will be original and way cooler....

stupid forum glitches

My My Paris, havn't you been a busy beaver lately, your dam is turning out rather well. (I was the first to watch your animated story board btw)

Yeah... I sorta see where you are going with this... Unless one were in LA I don't know how they'd make this movie... I guess a Wikistory will do for now... I'm not much of a writer... Nakid, Mustanger, and Blindmelon surely are. I usually have ideas to offer though... Unfortunately I've been trying to juggle a bunch of stuff lately... I read everything... I just have a hard time sitting down and contributing... I think I'm gonna have to print out this story and take it to work... and think about what I can add...

It seems like the story already has an outline... it's almost time for dialog isn't it, or is that jumping the gun a bit?

It's not too early for anything---catch phrases, dialogue, names, sayings, cool scene ideas...whatever---throw it in even out of order...This is like a giant stew pot...There are no bad ideas..I will sort it all out when I convert it to a PDF file for you guys to proof read....BTW....I am buying a book called screen writing for Idiots....so that may have some ideas re organization too....I am trying to prove that a bunch of brains with many points of view are better than one...If I don't think your idea (good or not )will fit the video I will just not use it this time...e.g. I am going to have the assistant professor put the key stroke device with the secret information on a chain and give it to Amazon Babe to wear as a neckless, then when a baddy tries to get it BAM...

I'm kinda like you ... lots of stuff ... and I reckoned I was better "lurking" here to read what you and Paris were saying

BUT I guessed if I added it could get more confusing ...

However ... on e-mails with Paris I have suggested we do part of the dialogue like a Batman comic ... KAPOW ... SPLAT etc etc ... keeps it simple ...

I then said we needed "Bubbles" to type text into... and either interweaved with the photos or if possible - as overlays to the photos themselves ...

today I said to Paris I would go searching ... and I found this:

absolutely I will check out the bubble machine later today...BTW I decided to NICK name the amazon girl BIOS,kind of a catchier nick name....and the dialouge coming from dual core at the new professors meeting is "NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL A FRONT SIDE BUS"...---pLZ KEEP IN MIND WHO PAYS TO GO TO THE MOVIES...LIKE 12 TO 22 YEAR OLDS...and what they are into... new computer stuff....

Oh yeh and the key stroke thing isn't a necklace it is a lanyard that has the photoID card for the computer lab access...this will feed into a security access thing where they change access to hand prints and the bad guy cuts of the hand of the guy hanging from the Hollywood sign and takes it to the lab to gain access... gotta have a little violence...then he gets there and they have changed it again to retinal scans.....USE YOUR IMAGINATION AS TO WHAT HAPPENS NEXT----LOL---I have no idea how I heard this but a hand print has like 25 points of identification match and a retinal scan has like 725 points of identification......so it is much much more secure and hard to duplicate...

Oh Yeh and BIOS is a better name because you can drop a hint of BI sexuality into the move. Relax these are just ideas I am throwing out and writting down because I forget them as fast as I think of them----LOL

OK and the security thing will show "tailgating"---peeeps going in before the door fully shuts..
and the eye guy says to the other bad guyAT THE LAB DOOR ..--"No there is a line I won't cross .. it is the gross line and we are at it..."

DANG THIS THING JUST WRITES ITSELF....LOL
